Children with ASD often face challenges in taking care of themselves, particularly in developing self-help skills. Video modelling has proven to be a successful intervention for teaching a wide range of target abilities. Therefore, a video modelling module on self-help skills was developed within the local context, which requires validation. This study aims to validate a video module to enhance self-help skills among children with ASD in Malaysia. By validating this module, it can be broadly utilized in the local context to improve self-help skills among these children. A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) were conducted to gather thoughts and perceptions regarding the video modelling module's content, layout, and design to refine the previously developed module before validation. Purposive sampling was employed, involving a multidisciplinary panel of nine experts who were interviewed using semi-structured methods. Comments and opinions from the FGDs were analyzed through content analysis, serving as a research method for module improvements. Results were organized using open coding, forming categories, grouping codes under higher-order headings, and abstracting a general description of the research topic. The findings from the FGDs indicated that the module achieved its objectives with only minimal improvements needed before the validation process. To ensure the module is suitable for use locally, particularly in children with ASD in Malaysia, it must be validated with robust content and face validity.
