The creation of 7 ethnic North-Sumatra batik attempts to perpetuate the diverse culture. Batik is designed to integrate the motifs from ethnic Mandailing, Nias, Simalungun, Batak Toba, Dairi, Karo, and Melayu, reflecting the uniqueness and values of local intelligence that each ethnic group possesses. The creation process involves an in-depth study of traditional motifs, interviews with cultural figures, deep exploration of traditional ornaments, selecting meaningful symbols, and applying typical batik techniques to produce aesthetics and meaning. The result is seven unique batik designs, each reflecting the ethnicity's identity and cultural values.
