Information For Librarians

The Environment-Behaviour Proceedings Journal (E-BPJ) is an international peer-reviewed scholarly serial publishing conference-linked proceedings in the fields of human-environment relations, environmental psychology, spatial behaviour, and Quality of Life (QoL).
This page provides information relevant to librarians, institutional repositories, research support services, and other organisations responsible for scholarly collection development, discovery, metadata management, and preservation.

1.0 Journal Identification
Journal Title: Environment-Behaviour Proceedings Journal (E-BPJ)
Publication Type: Peer-reviewed scholarly proceedings journal
Publication Model: Conference-linked scholarly serial
Access Model: Open Access
Publisher: e-International Publishing House, Ltd. (e-IPH Ltd)
Academic Sponsorship: Association of Malaysian Environment-Behaviour Researchers (AMER)
The journal's permanent bibliographic and publication information should be obtained from the official E-BPJ journal record and applicable article-level metadata.

2.0 Open Access and Accessibility
E-BPJ provides open access to its published full-text articles. Readers and institutional users do not require a subscription or institutional login to access published content.
Librarians may include E-BPJ in institutional discovery systems, library catalogues, electronic-resource collections, and appropriate scholarly resource guides.

3.0 Bibliographic Metadata
E-BPJ maintains article-level bibliographic metadata through its online publication platform and associated scholarly metadata services.
Where available, metadata may include:

  • Article title
  • Author names and affiliations
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Conference or publication information
  • Volume and issue information
  • Publication date
  • DOI
  • ISSN and other persistent identifiers
  • References and citation information

Libraries and discovery services are encouraged to use the authoritative metadata associated with the published Version of Record.

4.0 DOI and Persistent Identification
Published E-BPJ articles are assigned persistent article identifiers through the journal's DOI registration arrangements.
Where a DOI is available, librarians and repository managers should use the DOI as the preferred persistent link to the published article.
DOI links should resolve to the official E-BPJ publication record rather than to an unauthorised or temporary copy.

5.0 Discovery and Indexing
E-BPJ content is made discoverable through a range of scholarly metadata and bibliographic services, including Google Scholar, Scilit, WorldCat, Crossref, and other services where applicable.
These services perform different functions and should not be treated as equivalent forms of indexing or abstracting.
In relation to Web of Science, previous inclusion of E-BPJ content does not automatically establish coverage of subsequent volumes or articles. Librarians should verify the current coverage status through the relevant indexing provider where indexing status is material to institutional reporting or collection decisions.

6.0 Institutional Repository and Scholarly Sharing
E-BPJ supports the dissemination and preservation of published scholarly work.
The journal permits authors to self-archive the final published Publisher's Version, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms. Repository managers may therefore include eligible E-BPJ publications in institutional repositories where the applicable licence and repository conditions are satisfied.
When depositing or linking E-BPJ content, repositories are encouraged to retain the official article title, author information, DOI, publication information, and a persistent link to the E-BPJ Version of Record.

7.0 Copyright and Licensing
E-BPJ articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) licence, subject to the terms of that licence.
Librarians and repository managers should consult the licence associated with the published article before undertaking redistribution, modification, commercial use, or other forms of reuse.
For the complete copyright and licensing policy, refer to the About the Journal page.

8.0 Digital Preservation
E-BPJ participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for long-term digital preservation.
The journal maintains its publication record through its online publication platform, persistent identifiers, article-level metadata, DOI registration, and digital preservation arrangements.
Libraries may therefore maintain catalogue and discovery records using the journal's persistent bibliographic and article-level identifiers.

9.0 Catalogue and Discovery Records
Libraries and discovery services are encouraged to create or maintain records using authoritative journal and article metadata.
Where applicable, records should distinguish between:

  • The journal as a continuing scholarly serial;
  • Individual volumes and issues;
  • Conference-linked publication information;
  • Individual published articles; and
  • External indexing or discovery services.

External discovery or indexing coverage should not be represented as a guarantee of coverage for future E-BPJ content.

10.0 Post-Publication Changes
E-BPJ maintains the integrity of its published scholarly record through formal post-publication notices where required.
Published articles may receive an Erratum, Corrigendum, or Retraction Notice where applicable.
Libraries, repositories, and discovery services are encouraged to update their records when formal post-publication notices materially affect the bibliographic or scholarly status of an article.

11.0 Collection and Access Enquiries
Librarians and institutional information professionals requiring clarification concerning E-BPJ bibliographic records, metadata, DOI information, access, preservation, or indexing status should contact the journal through the official contact details provided on the E-BPJ website.
For the journal's complete policies on publication, ethics, copyright, indexing, preservation, and related matters, please refer to the About the Journal page.
