Abstract

This study explores the hope of humanity to attain good governance in society. An exploratory qualitative research design was adopted. Data were collected from published documents and analyzed using content analysis. Findings show that good governance is measured by the progress of society in achieving sustainable development; education is the hope of humanity on good governance; and corruption fostered by limited fear of God is a significant concern to contend with. The study concludes that instilling the fear of God through education and family institutions is likely to yield better results in addressing corruption and attaining good governance.
