Abstract

The investigation focuses on integrating traditional Chinese culture into modern product design education in China. This study first reviews the current status and identifies prevalent issues, followed by semi-structured online interviews to gather in-depth insights from experts and students. The interviews explore the importance of integrating traditional culture into design practice and teaching methods and the existing challenges and obstacles. Finally, the study compiles and analyses the interview data to draw conclusions and make recommendations. The goal is to enhance product design education in China by integrating traditional culture with modern design principles, fostering innovation, and maintaining a global perspective.
