Development and Validation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTs) Activities Module for Tahfiz Education

This study conducted a development and validation of a HOTs Activities Module specifically designed for tahfiz teachers. Conducted in—needs analysis, module development and content validation—the study employed interviews with four tahfiz teachers to identify the requirements for the module. Findings from the needs analysis revealed inherent HOTs elements in teaching Hifz al-Quran. These practices were informal and lacked structured resources. Content validation by four experts yielded an overall CVI of 0.99, with exceptions for two items requiring improvement. Minor revisions were implemented based on expert feedback. The module successfully bridges the gap between traditional and modern teaching methods
