Mobile-Based Sloper Courseware for Pattern Drafting in Malaysian Private Higher Education Institutions

Pattern drafting is one of the fundamental techniques in fashion design, yet many students experience difficulties in learning it. The present study investigated factors that affect the pattern drafting learning among 275 students at five private higher education institutions (IPTS) in Malaysia. Four constructs were explored: Constructive Learning, Curriculum Development, Learning Style and Preference, and Technology-Enhanced Learning. Curriculum Development (β = 0.473, p < .001) was the strongest predictor of Constructive Learning. The results are useful for developing a mobile-based sloper courseware for pattern drafting education in the future.
