Watch and Learn in Signs: Interpreting Signs in Textile Motifs for Interior Design Application

This study examines the symbolic meanings of selected traditional textile patterns and their impact on visual and cultural qualities in interiors. Utilizing qualitative methods, the research highlights the interpretation of motifs, cultural contextualization, and the assessment of design relevance. The study explores how symbolic elements function as communicative tools that connect occupants to cultural heritage and spatial identity. Findings from the analysis emphasize the necessity for designers to engage in culturally informed practices that respect the origins and meanings of traditional motifs.
