Abstract

The use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is becoming more accessible and prevalent. Democratizing the tool emerged from creative explorations and output assessments. In this study, we introduced a novel method that uses digital landscape aesthetics, a GenAI pipeline, and image generation to examine how contemporary urban needs can be visually represented. The digital artifact created from these processes revealed a landscape composition that aligns with the visual cues and emerging meanings from the digital commons. We argue that GenAI can visualize data from the digital realm, demonstrating the tool's reliability in capturing common landscape characteristics needed to reimagine urban riverfronts.
