Finding Urban Happiness: Residents' Happiness and the Socio-Spatial Landscape of Naga City, Philippines

Understanding the relationship between urban landscapes and well-being is increasingly important in rapidly urbanizing cities to reassure urban planners and policymakers of effective strategies. This study examines urban happiness in Naga City, Philippines, through a survey of 312 residents.
The demographic characteristics, including age and employment status, access to open and recreational spaces, walking behavior, and socio-spatial environments, all have positive effects on residents' happiness and well-being. The study emphasizes that people-centered planning and accessible public spaces are the core of building livable, happy cities.
