Abstract

This paper explores the determinants influencing the adoption of open data repositories among Malaysian academic researchers. By integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, the study proposes a conceptual model to examine key factors such as perceived usefulness, organizational readiness, and external pressures. The framework provides insights into barriers and drivers of open data adoption, offering practical implications for enhancing research collaboration, innovation, and the overall effectiveness of data-driven research within Malaysia's academic community.
