Abstract

This paper presents a systematic review of the relationship between population aging and environmental degradation, a complex and interdisciplinary topic. Focusing on existing studies and identifying gaps in the literature, the paper underscores the crucial need to understand the environmental implications of aging populations in developed and developing countries. The review highlights the research trend, emphasizing the interconnectedness of population aging and environmental issues across various disciplines. The paper proposes future research avenues to explore the complex interactions between aging demographics and environmental degradation.
