Abstract

Organisations operating in a Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA) environment face significant challenges in maintaining Halal Management System (MS1900) certification. This study aims to identify the critical factors that support the long-term maintenance of Halal quality management systems in certified organisations. Using a qualitative library research approach, the study identifies four key success factors: leadership commitment, employee involvement, training and development, and effective communication. These factors are closely linked to the successful implementation and sustainability of Halal certification. Addressing them strategically can enhance organisational resilience and facilitate the continued effectiveness of Halal quality management systems.
