Qur'anic recitation preparation draws on official criteria, references, recordings, digital tools, and artificial intelligence (AI)-supported feedback. This conceptual paper develops the Recitation Gatekeeping Model through literature mapping and analysis of official competition documents. The synthesis positions guiding teachers and external Qur'anic recitation trainers as verification actors applying five checks: official alignment, source credibility, technical accuracy, pupil suitability, and preparation value. The model explains how these checks authorise information as pupil guidance and links source selection to correction reliability, feedback continuity, competition alignment, and pupil readiness. It frames Qur'anic learning guidance as an educational dimension of Quality of Life
