Abstract

Values-based education is becoming an increasingly important approach for equipping graduates to lead with integrity and become responsible members of society. This case study offers a qualitative analysis of 21 students’ reflections from a community-based initiative in which they volunteered as literacy tutors in underserved communities. Thematic analysis of the data indicated that the Islamic values, such as trust, excellence, and public good, are developed through teamwork, empathy, and intercultural engagement. The study demonstrated how experiential pedagogy fosters graduate readiness by embedding ethical growth and social responsibility into real-world learning. This paper also discussed the study's implications and limitations.
